The Origins of Felday Brewery
The inspiration and desire to create the Felday Brewery came following the passing in 2015 of long term Holmbury St. Mary resident and founder of Felday Engineering, Peter Westbury.
PW was a very regular visitor to The Royal Oak for more than 50 years and would often be heard saying:
“A pint of your very best ‘sludge’ please, Landlord.”
PW won the 1963 RAC British Hill Climb Championship in his “design and build” Felday-Daimler V8 Special.
The Felday “caricature logo” is a tribute to PW as is the Felday branding.
